I should note at the outset that I live in Irvine near John Wayne Airport and UCI. Sierra Chevrolet is approximately 50 miles away from where I live, and the traffic on a Southern California afternoon can be brutal.

My wife has a 2008 Ford Edge Limited. It seemed to be a very dependable and good car. It has about 80,000 miles on it. This past April we had a serious engine problem. I had the car towed all the way to my preferred dealership in Buena Park. I was concerned so I contacted Car Pro USA to get my customer certificate. Since I have a GM credit card, I figured I could use my $760+ credit if I fact decided to buy a new car. As it turned out, the repair cost about $1700, so we decided to get it done & keep the Ford Edge. I contacted Mike Hoffman, and told him we were not ready to consider buying a new car at that time, but would my priority pass remain active please. He said absolutely.

A few days ago, we had another problem with the Ford Edge. The check engine light came on & the car was not driving well. My wife had contacted me and was very hysterical about what was happening to the car. I contacted Mike Hoffman and told him that depending how much the repair cost, I would come by Sierra Chevrolet to see if it made sense to consider getting a new car for my wife. After contacting my preferred dealer in Buena Park once again, we had it towed there. This time the repair cost almost $400. She had been pretty freaked out about by the entire experience. While I was at the Buena Park dealership, I asked the salesman approximately what would my Ford Edge Limited be worth as a trade-in. What followed was about two hours of him trying to get me to purchase or lease and take delivery of a top-of-the-line 2019 Ford Edge that had been previously used as a loaner car. I kept telling him that I was not ready to roll the car that day and I wanted to at least visit Sierra Chevrolet. He tried his best to close the deal that day, but I persisted & told him I would visit Sierra Chevrolet and at least give him the courtesy of a call back that same day with whatever my decision was.

I then drove all the way to Sierra Chevrolet and met Mike Hoffman. He showed me a few cars & ultimately the best option seemed to be a 2009 Chevy Equinox LT that had been a loaner car, but still qualified as a new car. I test drove it and ultimately made the decision to purchase it. However I wanted to get leather seats and also have a garage door opener added to the vehicle. He contacted his preferred third party installer who came by the dealership. He showed me various leather & garage door openers & I sent pictures of them back to my wife. I ended up getting the Car Pro USA discounts, the existing GM rebates, the Conquest Cash rebates and he even agreed to waive $85 document processing fee that I had learned about by listening to your show. But here's the final kicker. I requested a third key which he agreed to give me for no charge and then he said he would drive the Equinox all the way to Irvine on Wednesday so he could explain all the bells and whistles to my wife and then drive back with the Ford Edge that he was taking as a trade-in. This was example of outstanding customer service second to none.

Doug was very helpful and knowledgeable about the vehicle we were interested in, the Chevy Volt. No pressure and very professional. He provided a detailed review of factory orders of forthcoming cars as well to help us in seeing all the available options. I would certainly go back and recommend this dealer as well. Ultimately, we have decided to keep our current vehicle for another year or two.

They never asked for pass and I had it ready to show. 11 AM appointment and left 4 PM. My new truck show up at 7:30. I already did all paperwork and they let me take my trade in back home.
Picked up the new truck Sunday at 1 PM.

This was the most surreal car buying experience of my life (and I'm 62). Corey was very helpful and low key. I had visited Chevrolet.com and used their build-a-car page to choose exactly what I wanted, which was really helpful, then after I test drove a Camaro on the lot, Corey helped me order exactly the car I want. It will take 7-8 weeks, which I'm fine with. Corey also told me that when the car arrives, if I decide I don't want it, I can just walk away, no harm, no foul. It's a brave new world! I'm grateful to my friend who listens to your Saturday radio show regularly, for telling me about your website.

Was impressed with initial prompt call back from manager. Was going to special order a zr2. Ended up finding one at a local dealership. Great initial exspierennce however.

Worth the drive for a great price. When the 2018 Bolt came in damaged, Corey substituted a 2019 for same price!!!
