We hope you can join us for the DFW Auto Show in Fort Worth. It is a bigger and better show than last year, which was terrific. We will be LIVE for 5 hours, 9 AM to 2 PM this Saturday, November 2nd.
Local auto enthusiasts are in for a real treat this year when the DFW Auto Show in Fort Worth opens on Halloween at the Fort Worth Convention Center. To celebrate, the Show is hosting a “Trunk or Treat” event from 1 to 9 pm on Thursday, Oct. 31.
“This is a safe alternative to neighborhood Trick or Treating. Each child accompanied by an adult and with valid admission will receive a complimentary “Trunk or Treat” bag, distributed by Lightening McQueen, which he or she can fill by visiting Show exhibitors. Costumes are encouraged but are not mandatory to participate. It’s sure to be a fun event for the family,” said Jim Hardick, 2013 DFW Auto Show in Fort Worth chairman.
The DFW Auto Show in Fort Worth will continue through Nov. 3 and will feature more than 270,000 square feet of 2014 and 2015 cars, pickups and SUVs, including the first Texas showing of the 2015 Cadillac Escalade. Consumers can expect to see vehicles ranging from fuel-efficient hybrids to the latest mini-vans for soccer moms and dads to newly updated pickup trucks for hauling anything and everything to top-down roadsters ideal for Texas fall weather. In addition, the DFW Auto Show in Fort Worth is pleased to announce first-time exhibitors Bentley, Maserati, McLaren and Rolls Royce to the lineup.
“Park Place Premiere Collection is comprised of some of the best brands in the world,” said Heath Strayhan, general manager of Park Place Premier Collection. “We are pleased to bring Bentley, Rolls-Royce, McLaren, and Maserati to the show for the first time as this lineup of vehicles is very exciting to see up close and personal.”
Visitors to the Show can take their new vehicle research a step further at the DFW Auto Show in Fort Worth Ride & Drive Event where they can test drive some of their favorite vehicles. GM will feature the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep and Ram will be represented by vehicles such as the Chrysler 200, Dodge Challenger, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Ram 1500 and Fiat 500.
Ford is scheduled to highlight the F150, Focus, Fusion and Edge among others featuring their EcoBoost engine. The Ride & Drive Event will be held from 1 to 6:30 pm Friday, Nov. 1; 10 am to 6:30 pm Saturday, Nov. 2; and 10 am to 5 pm Sunday, Nov. 3 at the Water Gardens adjacent to the Fort Worth Convention Center. Participants must be 18 years old, have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance. Test drives are complimentary with DFW Auto Show in Fort Worth admission.
Saturday, Nov. 2 will mark the return of the Memory Lane Classic Car Show. This year, auto enthusiasts can expect to see more than 100 all-American classic cars and trucks from 1979 and older. Plus, visitors can vote on their favorite vehicle to win the “People’s Choice Award.
“The Memory Lane Classic Car Show was a wonderful addition to the Auto Show last year. Classic car owners love showing off their vehicles, and this is a perfect venue in which to do it. These folks will be taking over the Exhibit Annex on Saturday, and the number of participants will be doubled from last year. If you love classic cars, this is the place to be on Saturday,” Hardick said.
Show Hours are 1 to 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Oct. 31 and Nov. 1; 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2; and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3.
