The little Italian brand that could is hopping on the black trend with the Fiat 500X. It is introducing a special Urbana Edition.
The Urbana Edition will sell on both front-wheel and all-wheel drive 500X Trekking models.
For $845 it changes the standard Trekking model with Miron black side mirror caps, door handles, tail- and head-light surround, fascias, roof rails, and liftgate handle. The sill moldings are black with special copper accenting on the 500X logo. More copper accenting is on the Miron and matte black 18-inch wheels with copper center caps.
Black continues in the cabin with special black Castiglio chevron upholstery on the seats. There’s more black on the textured instrument panel, center console, and radio and vent knobs. The inside 500X logos are done in copper like on the exterior.
Fiat doesn’t insist on going full black out with four available exterior colors with the package: Grigio Graphite (gray), Blue Sky Metallic, Bianco Gelato (white), and Nero Cinema (black).
Even though we’re right on the cusp of automakers switching over to 2018 models, the Urbana Edition is a 2017 500X Trekking edition. It starts from $25,190. Going for the Trekking AWD bumps the price up by $1,900 to $27,090.
The Urbana Edition goes on sale this fall.
