Fire Risk Prompts 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk Recall

2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk

Chrysler is recalling certain 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk vehicles equipped with a 6.2L supercharged engine because the fuel line may separate. This is dangerous for two reasons. For one, it could cause an engine stall and increase the risk of a crash. It also increases the risk of a fire in the engine compartment.

You can read the NHTSA recall documents here.

Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and, as necessary, replace the fuel line, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin March 2, 2018.

Chrysler’s number for this recall is U02. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or visit
