There’s a new way to order your Ford Edge for 2018. It’s with a new Edge SEL Sport Appearance Package. As the name suggests, it’s sportier and comes with more standard features and technology.
The exterior gets the blacked-out treatment along with 10-spoke 19-inch Magnetic Metallic-painted wheels, grille, mirror caps and rear spoiler.
Inside, the big surprise is the cloth interior that you might not expect on a higher series model. But Ford says its cloth because customers wanted it. Specifically, customers who live and drive in more extreme weather conditions.
The gray cloth seats have Umber-colored sueded cloth inserts. Copper applique accents bring a splash of color to the dash bring, along with embroidered Umber “Edge” floor mats.
In the tech department, it comes with SYNC 3 with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, premium audio, and a rear camera and reverse sensing system.
Other available features include a panoramic vista roof, black roof rack side rails, navigation, blind spot monitoring system and hands-free power liftgate.
Drivers can choose from the standard twin-scroll 2.0-liter EcoBoost or optional 3.5-liter Ti-VCT V6 engine.
The 2018 Edge SEL Sport Appearance Package carries a suggested option price of $1,295 and will be available this fall.
