Even as the last of Hurricane Harvey is pouring out, already the relief funding is well underway. Mazda, Ford, Volkswagen, Nissan, and Toyota are all contributing relief efforts funds or offering other assistance to customers.
Toyota is donating over $3 million dollars to Hurricane Harvey relief. It’s providing the funds through a partnership with The Friedkin Group, Gulf State Toyota, and nationwide Toyota and Lexus dealerships. The funds support disaster relief organizations including St. Bernard Project and American Red Cross. Toyota is matching contributions in terms of donations, volunteers, and pre-owned vehicles donations.
Toyota’s financial arm is also offering payment relief options to its customers affected by the catastrophic flooding. This broad outreach includes any Toyota Financial Services (TFS) or Lexus Financial Services (LFS) customer in the designated disaster areas. Customers may be able to receive extensions and lease deferred payments.

Ford is donating $100,000 to the Red Cross disaster relief efforts as well. On top of that, the Ford Fund is matching dollar for dollar donated to the Red Cross up to $50,000 for a total of $200,000. In a statement on its website, Ford said: “Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those impacted by this devastating storm.”

Mazda and the Mazda Foundation are jointly donating $100,000 to the American Red Cross Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief fund to help those affected by Harvey. This is on top of the $1 million Mazda gives to the Red Cross Annual Disaster Giving Program.
The Volkswagen Group of America Foundation has also donated $150,000 to the American Red Cross.
“With this donation, VWGoA is helping the American Red Cross provide some relief to those who have been affected by this devastating storm,” said David Geanacopoulos, Senior Executive Vice President for Public Affairs and Public Policy, Volkswagen Group of America. “We extend our thoughts and concern to all of those affected, including our employees, dealers and their families living and working in the impacted areas. We remain in constant contact with our teams in the area and will continue to support them as they work to rebuild their communities.”
Additionally, under the Matching Gift Donation Program, Volkswagen Group of America will provide matching funds for any employee donations made to the American Red Cross or other charities in support of those communities impacted by Hurricane Harvey.
Nissan is also pledging $150,000 to the American Red Cross in support of relief efforts for victims of Hurricane Harvey. The company also will match employee donations to American Red Cross dollar-for-dollar up to $100,000. Additionally, 20 Nissan TITANs will be provided to support humanitarian relief organizations across the Gulf Coast region.
In addition to the donation, Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation and INFINITI Financial Services are also offering payment relief assistance through payment deferrals. Customers can request payment extensions by contacting the company directly.

Volvo Car USA is offering assistance to car owners living in FEMA declared disaster areas affected by Hurricane Harvey.
Car owners that live in the affected area, regardless of whether they owned a Volvo Car, are elegible for Volvo Car Employee Pricing and an additional $1,000 benefit on any Volvo vehicle. A portion of each sale through this program will be donated by Volvo Car USA to JJ Watt’s YouCaring Houston Flood Relief Fund. More details will be available at any Houston area Volvo retailer.
