Want to be James Bond? Well, sorry to be a wet blanket, but there can only be one 007. However, if you have around $2 million bucks you can sort of pretend you are, by owning one of his cars.
Next month, Aston Martin will auction off one of the DB10 models designed and built just for the movie Spectre. Most of the models built for the film were abused during chase scenes, however, this is one of two “show” cars and it’s in mint condition.
It even comes with a special plaque autographed by actor Daniel Craig.
The spy sportster has a 4.7-liter V8 petrol engine and a top speed of 190 mph, but it’s best read the fine print before you shell out any money for it. It’s not approved for use on public roads. The collector’s car is made of lightweight aluminum and carbon fiber.
It will be auctioned off by Christie’s on February 18th, in, where else, Britain. It’s estimated to go for at least $2.1 million. Proceeds will support Doctors Without Borders and other charities. Some other Bond memorabilia will also be up for grabs.
Aston Martin has been associated with James Bond since the 1964 film Goldfinger, which featured a DB5.
