How do you celebrate 90? Well, if you’re Queen Elizabeth II you celebrate with a fleet of special Jaguars, 900 horses and 1500 fans.
The Queen wrapped her 90th birthday celebrations with a big bash on Sunday at Windsor Castle. Her favorite automaker of choice, Jaguar Land Rover, joined in for the festivities, honoring her with a special fleet of cars just for the occasion.
The automaker rolled out seven liveried union jack Jaguar F-Type sports cars. They were paraded around the arena flying union jack flags in the opening events.
The icing on the cake was a Land Rover Discovery towing in the Queen’s birthday cake. She then made her grand exit in a hybrid engine State Review Range Rover.
The 2017 F-Type is on sale now if you want to get your own set of “royal” horses. (But union jack is only for the Queen.) It starts at $61,400.
It offers a base 3.0-liter V6 engine with 340-horsepower. The other engine options are a 3.0-liter V6 with 380-horses, 5.0-liter V8 with 550-horses, and 5.0-liter V8 with 575-horses. All use a Roots-type twin-vortex supercharger mounted in the “V” formation. The come in both manual and automatic transmissions.
There’s also a convertible version F-Type as well like the ones seen in the show. They start at $68,100.
