The Los Angeles Auto Show wouldn’t be complete without at least one Star Wars themed vehicle and leave it to Fiat to deliver. The automaker unveiled a special Fiat 500e Stormtrooper at the show. It marks the upcoming release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens next month.
Fiat worked with Lucasfilm to create the special Fiat, which as the name implies, looks like a stormtrooper. The entire outside is draped in the black and white of the First Order Legion. A wrap mimics a stormtrooper helmet and the wheel centers even get the graphic treatment.
Inside, the strictly black and white theme continues with customized leather upholstery and unique door inserts. The dashboard is white and you can’t miss the “Star Wars” logo.
The leather wrapped steering wheel features a two-toned mod black and white contrasting design with the Stormtrooper First Order insignia (it looks like the helmet) centered in the middle.
While the Stormtrooper edition is a one-off edition, the 500e is not. It’s currently available in California and Oregon. The 100 percent electric 500e comes ready to take on galaxies, or your daily routine, with an estimated 122 city and 108 highway MPGe. It uses a 24-kWh Lithium-Ion High-Voltage battery with 111-horsepower and 147 lb-ft torque. It starts at $32,300, but can qualify for up to $14,000 in incentives and credits for a lower starting price of $18,300.
If you’re less inclined to trust your space travel to an electric vehicle, you can opt for a standard 500 which starts at $16,845.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens debuts December 18.
