Love Bug Ferrari Can Be Yours! Car Pro News

A vintage Ferrari used in Disney flick The Love Bug was put up for sale for a whopping 7.5 MILLION DOLLARS. The red roadster – a 1956 Ferrari 250 GT LWB Tour De France, was featured alongside humble Volkswagen Beetle “Herbie” in the 1968 film.
It is now one of the most expensive cars ever to come on the open market in England.
One of only nine models built by the Italian company, it has become one of the world’s most sought-after cars – selling for 15 times its value of 20 years ago.
With a top speed of 145mph, it picked up its Tour de France name thanks to its dominance in the famous ten-day road race.
This particular car was sold new to a US-based property developer and, by 1965, had found its way into the hands of Walt Disney’s studio.
Now, after spending the last 15 years on the US west coast, it has been shipped back to the UK.
John Collins, who is selling the model, said: “This Ferrari is very rare, they hardly ever come on the market.
“There were just nine built and two of these were lost to crashes.
“It is in pristine condition and has won numerous awards. It is an incredibly sought-after car.”
