It is raining Mercedes-AMG special editions at the Geneva Auto Show. Namely, the automaker unveiled a handful of new (and some very limited) special editions. They include the AMG GT C Roadster Edition 50, the C63 S Cabriolet Ocean Blue Edition and the C43 Coupe and Cabriolet Performance packages.
AMG GT C Roadster Edition 50
Mercedes-AMG will only build 500 of the GT C Roadster Edition 50 models. Out of those, only 50 will be earmarked for the States.
The model marks AMG’s 50th anniversary which is being celebrated in 2017. The model features special Graphite Grey Magno paint and black chrome accents on the body and wheels. Inside, you’ll find a black and grey diamond-patterned leather interior, along with an AMG Performance steering wheel complete with “Edition 50” badging. An Interior Night package comes standard, which means yet more black chrome accents inside.
An AMG-tuned 4.0L V8 biturbo delivers 550-horses and 502 pound-feet of torque.
AMG C63 Cabriolet Ocean Blue Edition
The AMG C63 Cabriolet Ocean Blue Edition is even more limited than the Roadster Edition 50s. AMG will only build 150 of these models worldwide.
The blue color used on the soft-top is a new blue for AMG and exclusively for this model. The rest of the exterior is a Cashmere White color. The AMG cross-spoke wheels are 19-inches in the front, 20-inches in the rear and painted titanium gray. The interior has a grey leather color scheme as well along with an analogue clock in an IWC design and special edition badging.
Its 4.0L V8 biturbo engine delivers 503-horses and 516 pound-feet of torque.
Mercedes-AMG C43 Coupe and Cabriolet Performance Studio Package
The AMG Performance Studio Package for the AMG C43 Coupe and Cabriolet is all about black details. Inside and out.
It’s also the first time the C43 Cabriolet is available with black exterior details. The diamond radiator grille sports black pins instead of the usual chrome, and the trim strips on the front splitter, on the rear bumper, side skirts, trunk lid spoiler and tailpipe trim elements are all painted black. 19-inch multi-spoke light-alloy wheels are painted in matte black for the first time as well and feature high-sheen rim flanges as a striking contrast.
All new special edition models will be available for order this summer from a Mercedes-Benz dealer.
