What do you do if you’re a car dealership dealing with a persistent panhandler issue? Well if you’re the Brighton, Michigan Honda dealership you take action.
The dealership recently tried to put a stop to a panhandler begging for money in front of their dealership. So they offered the guy a job. But as the story goes, the panhandler turned the job down, telling the dealership owners he made more money than that panhandling.
That didn’t sit well with the dealership. It decided to put a sign up in front of their store near where the panhandler stationed himself. The sign, which quickly went viral, read:
“Please do not give anything to this panhandler. We offered him a full-time job at $10.00/hr. He said: ‘I make more than any of you’ and he did not want a job. Please donate to a more worthy cause.”
Things didn’t get better from there. According to reports, once police got wind of things, they intervened and arrested the panhandler vagrancy and disorderly conduct.
