Bentley is going off roading with the Bentayga, the most powerful SUV on the planet. The automaker is releasing details about its first ever SUV this week ahead of its debut later this month at the Frankfurt International Motor Show. The model brings the Bentley standard of uber luxury to off-roading and does it with a price, design, and speed to match.
It is set to go on sale in the U.S. early next year with a price tag of $229,100, which will make it the most expensive SUV on the market.
The exterior the the Bentayga begins with the trademark Bentley matrix grille and B-shaped wing vents. The four signature circle headlamps are all LED and each feature little headlamp washers. The luxe design brings a go anywhere aesthetic with a skid plate in the lower section of the front bumper that matches the muscular lines throughout the car.
The cabin meets the Bentley luxe standard with handcrafted polished metal, veneered wood, and leather featured throughout. There are both four and five seat configurations available, with a seven-seat option in the works, all available with leather seats with contrast stitching and a quilted diamond design on the shoulders and bolsters. A full-length panoramic sunroof is standard.
The Bentayga bonnet contains the all-new, Crewe-built, 6.0-liter, twin-turbo, W12, TSI engine that gets 608 horsepower. Six lifestyle packages are also available that offer things like Load-Assist Tray and Wet Gear Stowage, which would be handy for the water sports oriented driver.

It works by counteracting rolling when cornering with maximum tire contact, stability, and handling.
