New Kia Sedona Minivan Unveiled – Car Pro News

kia-sedona2014The minivan is alive and well. Kia has unveiled its fully redesigned 2015 Sedona ahead of its public debut at the New York Auto Show.
The automaker discontinued the previous edition in 2012, which had been on sale since 2006, only to bring it back for the 2014 model year by popular demand.
The all-new version features exterior styling more in line with the rest of the company’s offerings, including its signature “Tiger Nose” face.
Its muscular for a minivan body encapsulates a larger cabin, with seating for up to eight passengers, and optional “first class” second row seats with footrests that can slide back and forth and rotate to face the back row.
The Sedona is powered by the same 3.3-liter V6 engine used in Kia’s Sorrento crossover, and is available with radar cruise control, collision alert and blind spot warning systems.
One unique feature is a power tailgate that opens automatically when it senses the key fob nearby for three seconds, allowing for hands-free access to the cargo area.
Fuel economy and pricing have not yet been revealed, but the 2015 Sedona goes on sale late this year.
