Land Rover is unveiling a new special edition Holland & Holland Range Rover and if you want to get your hands on one, you’d better act fast. As in now, because only 30 are slated for U.S. shores.
Also, as you might guess, the new Rover’s exclusivity doesn’t come cheap. We’re talking a $244,500 price tag to start.
The new limited edition model is in partnership with Holland & Holland, a British gunmaker that’s supplied guns to British royals. Based on the Range Rover SVAutobiography, it was crafted by Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations team and is the most powerful series-production Range Rover in the model’s 45-year history.
Add to that the Holland & Holland factor and you get quite a specimen of British luxury.
The exterior comes in Holland & Holland’s signature green paint color. Other exclusive elements include Holland & Holland design details like specially engraved brightwork, French walnut veneers, and a custom commissioned plaque. There is also Holland & Holland badging on the side vents and tailgate. A unique dashboard features the diamond pattern used on the end of the gunmaker’s rifles and shotguns.
One of the coolest features is a lockable leather trimmed gun case in the rear loadspace. It fits two Holland & Holland firearms. You can remove it though if you need the extra space.
The SUV also comes with an exclusive espresso and tan interior, branded stitching on the seats, a luggage area cover and Holland & Holland illuminated tread plates on all four door sills.
It’s downright comfy, too, with seats that recline 17 degrees in the back and wood trimmed tables that deploy electronically.
“The whole SVO team is very proud of this car, a bespoke design, which perfectly meets the very particular needs of Holland & Holland customers,” says John Edwards, Managing Director of Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations.
On sale globally, the Holland & Holland Range Rover will be available in North America beginning spring 2016.
While this special edition is over $240,000, the Range Rover SVAutobiography is priced from $199,495.
