Office meetings will never be the same again.
Nissan is bringing autonomous driving technology to the boardroom with a new first-of-its-kind “Intelligent Parking Chair.” Basically, Nissan’s developed chairs that can park themselves using camera detection and robotic technology.
The chairs borrow from the same intelligent park assist technology used in some of Nissan’s vehicles.
The modified Okamura chairs have rollers that allow them to automatically move 360-degrees. Four cameras placed overhead in the room track them, transmitting directions simultaneously via Wifi.
Nissan says the whole idea, beyond demonstrating the technology, is to free businessmen “from the troublesome task of arranging chairs.”
