As it turns out, Yoda and the gang won’t be the only ones hitting the road in a Nissan Rogue. You could be too. Nissan is launching a special 2017 Rogue One Star Wars Edition in honor of its recent partnership with Lucasfilm.
Nissan keeps most of the details on the dark side. The first sighting of the special model will happen at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November. What we do know is that it will have special Star Wars badging designed by Lucasfilm. It’s also based on 2017 model which gets some nice updates.
For starters, check out the reworked front fascia. It includes the signature V-motion grille. The headlamps update to a quad-element design with LED daytime running lights. Chrome around the base add some shine. The rear taillamps and bumper get a fresh take too.
A new flat-bottomed steering wheel, trim touches on the doors and instrument panels, new shift-knob, revised center console and lid, upgraded seat fabric, and remote start show off the interior updates. Drivers can add a heated steering wheel and driver seat/mirror memory.
Both a standard gasoline version and a new hybrid version will be offered. Look for the 2017 gas model to go on sale in October. The hybrid option will join before the new year.
No word yet on when the Star Wars Rogue One limited editions will hit the market.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story opens on December 16th.
