Order books are now officially open for the limited edition 480-horsepower 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt. It can be yours for $47,495, including destination.
The 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt commemorates the 50th Anniversary of the 1968 movie, Bullitt. In the film, Steve McQueen drives a Highland Green 1968 Mustang GT fastback in an action-packed high-speed chase scene through San Francisco.
2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt Design
The new “Bullitt”, based on the Mustang GT Premium and Performance package, features a classic cue ball shifter and in homage to the original, there is no minimal badging inside and out. There’s a Bullitt logo on the circular faux gas camp on the outside and that’s it. The leather-trimmed interior features unique accent stitching in green on the dashboard, door panels, center console and seats. It also comes with a 12-inch all-digital LCD instrument cluster.
Bullitt customers have two color choices – Shadow Black and classic Dark Highland Green. Appointments include subtle chrome accents for the unique black grille and front windows, classic torque-thrust 19-inch aluminum wheels, and red-painted Brembo brakes.
2019 Mustang Bullitt Performance
The new Mustang Bullitt delivers even more power, thanks to its performance open air intake and Mustang Shelby GT350 intake manifold. It also features a larger 87-millimeter throttle body and unique powertrain control module calibrations. The sum of all this is 480-horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of torque. Top speed is 163 mph – an 8 mph increase versus the latest Mustang GT. A fully active black NitroPlate quad-tip exhaust also comes standard.
The Ford Mustang Bullitt will go on sale this summer for $46,595 plus a $900 destination and delivery charge. This is the third Bullitt-branded special edition. Ford also released Bullitt models in 2001 and 2008.
