A special themed pink Chevrolet Camaro SS is pacing select NASCAR Sprint Cup series races to underscore General Motors’ commitment to support a charity, Making Strides Through Breast Cancer.
The car was seen, for instance, at the Advocare 500 in Georgia last month.
In addition, A special 2014 Corvette Stingray will serve as the pace car for the IZOD Indy Car Series event at Auto Club Speedway later this month. Chevy is also donating $10 for the cause through every test drive its customers take and $200 for every lap run under a caution flag in the NASCAR series.
Last year, with Chevrolet’s support, the American Cancer Society raised $1,211,463 in contributions through the Making Strides walks to fund research, wellness, breast cancer awareness education and support for breast cancer patients and their families.
