Anyone with a tractor needs a good truck. So why not get a matching pair? At least that’s what Ram thinks. The automaker is launching new 2018 Ram Harvest Editions designed with that idea in mind.
The Harvest Editions are designed to fit the needs of farmers. They come in two new paint hues that match agricultural equipment, namely Case IH red and New Holland blue. (So if you’re a John Deer person you’re out of luck.) The reason for new paint color choice is simple. Ram’s parent company Fiat Chrysler also owns those two companies.
The Harvest Edition package adds on mud flaps, side steps, rear bumper step, skid plates, rubber floor mats, tow hooks, and spray-in bed liner. Other farm-ready package features include a one-inch higher ride height and off-roading tires. Opting for a Heavy-Duty truck adds on/off-roading tires and a truck bed camera.
The package also gets you a mesh chrome grille, chrome side mirrors and door handles, and chrome bumpers. It also adds creature comforts like heated seats, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, 4G Wifi, and navigation with live weather and traffic. This chrome is going to look amazing covered in harvest mud.
The best part is getting a matching Ram doesn’t limit the truck options. All three; 1500, 2500, and 3500, Ram trucks will offer the package. The package comes with all cab, bed lengths, and engine configurations as well.
The Harvest Edition goes on sale starting in October on 2017 models. The base Harvest Edition is on the 1500 model at a starting price of $41,305.
