The Dodge Demon won’t sell for six figures. Whew. That sounds a lot better than the original numbers being bantered about following the muscle car’s headline-making debut in New York last week.
Road & Track caught up with Dodge exec Tim Kuniskis who told the website that the Demon won’t be near the $100,000 mark. Though, of course, it goes without saying the 840-horse muscle car will be pricier than a 707-horsepower Hellcat. The Challenger SRT Hellcat starts from around $65,000.
Dodge says the Demon will be the fastest production car ever and hit zero to sixty in 2.3 seconds. Remember, too, the Demon only comes with a driver’s seat. But you have the option of adding front and rear seats for $1 each.
Deliveries begin in the fall so expect pricing closer to the sale date.
