Just as we were going to deadline for this week’s newsletter, conflicting reports are coming out over a possible VW TDI settlement agreement involving vehicles equipped with 3.0-liter diesel engines. There are about 80,000 owners of these vehicles in the United States that are subject to this action. The affected models include diesel versions of the VW Touareg, Porsche Cayenne and Audi Q5, Q7 and A8.
Attorneys involved in a class action suit representing 3.0-liter diesel owners say no agreement has been reached yet, despite reports.
Whether the agreement is reached or not, it must still be approved by a judge, so stay tuned. We’ll have all the details for you as they are confirmed.
