Rolls-Royce has unveiled a luggage set that costs more than most entry-level luxury cars.
The Wraith-branded set includes two small ‘Grand Tourer’ valises, three ‘Long Weekender’ bags and one garment carrier, all of which are designed to fit snugly in the Wraith’s trunk.
Handles have been designed to ensure even weight distribution, while invisible stitching takes inspiration from Rolls-Royce steering wheels. Other features include magnetic fasteners, self-righting wheel centers with double-R emblems, carbon-fiber frames and Spirit of Ecstasy embossing on the exterior.
“The design team conversed with Head Butlers from some of the world’s most illustrious hotels, who offered insight into the interaction between guests and their belongings,” the automaker said in a statement. “Luggage is not only seen as an expression of style, but also as a wardrobe from home, increasingly important as entrepreneurs and captains of industry adopt a more transient lifestyle.”
Buyers can choose from a mono- or two-tone leather finish, each hand-stitched with the same color thread as the customer’s vehicle.
The six-piece set fetches $45,854 in the US market. You can see my review of the Wraith under CAR REVIEWS at CarProUSA.com, and today you can see my review of the 2016 Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe.
