Now this is the Rolls-Royce we’ll take. One with a champagne tailgating bar.
It’s one of the features of the new Zenith Collection that will commemorate the end of the road for the Phantom Coupe and Drophead Convertible. Sadly, though, all 50 area already spoken for, so we’ll have to make do without.
The bespoke collection is the last of the line for the Phantom, which ends production this year. The new 2016 Rolls-Royce Dawn, built on an all-new aluminum architecture, is taking its place. (The Dawn’s price tag, by the way, starts at $335,000.)
So here are the goodies those 50 lucky Zenith Collection drivers will enjoy. There’s the aforementioned split-tailgate “touring day” picnic set-up complete with a fridge that holds two champagne bottles and eight glasses. The tailgate is even padded in leather because, come on, can you imagine it not being padded in leather.
Laser-etched badges greet you when you open the doors and the car’s ID number is etched into the central storage compartment. The starlight headlining, meanwhile, has a different pattern to other Phantoms. It will come in classic Rolls-Royce colors, too, inspired by the 1930s.
