Nissan’s Titan family is getting bigger. The automaker is getting ready to roll out the the line’s first single cabs – one for Titan and one for the Titan XD. The models join the Titan crew cabs already in dealerships.
The Titan XD offers the 5.0-liter Cummins turbodiesel V8. (Check out our Titan XD diesel review below.) The regular half-ton will launch with the V8, but Nissan plans to offer a V6 as well at some point. The gas versions come with a seven-speed automatic, while the diesels get a six-speed. You also have your choice between two- and four-wheel drive.
The new pickups share the same cab dimensions and eight-foot pickup beds, but have completely separate fully boxed ladder frame chassis. They come in S and SV trim levels.
TITAN will ultimately be available in a total of three cabs, three bed lengths, three engines, 4×4 and 4×2 drive and S, SV, SL, PRO-4X and Platinum Reserve trim levels.
The Titan single cab models go on sale in late fall 2016. No pricing info yet, though.
