Some 2013 Dodge Durango SUVs Recalled – Car Pro News

Chrysler is recalling about 1,500 of its 2013-model Dodge Durango SUVs because the side air bags for the rear seat may not deploy properly in a crash.
According to documents posted today on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website, some 2013 Durangos may have had an incorrect air bag control module installed, the Associated Press reports.
The company says the control module for five-passenger vehicles was installed in the seven-passenger Durangos. Thus, if there is a crash behind the second-row seat, the air bags may not inflate correctly to protect rear seat occupants.
The affected Durangos were built from April 11 through July 20 and the recall includes vehicles in the U.S., Canada and elsewhere, though the company says most are still in dealer hands.
Chrysler said it knows of no crashes or injuries from the problem and that it will notify owners next month to bring the vehicles to a dealer to have the incorrect module replaced.
