What’s more American than man’s best friend and a little Willie Nelson? Well it’s a combo that’s certainly up there on the list and Subaru agrees.

Just in time for the Fourth of July holiday weekend, the automaker is launching its second ad of the summer called “Dream Weekend” and it features a song by the famous southern singer/songwriter. The spot shows a man taking his dog on a weekend-trip of a lifetime in a 2016 Subaru Impreza.

“‘Dream Weekend’ is a touching television spot that highlights that indescribable bond between a man, his best friend, and the adventurous Subaru Impreza that is with them through it all,” says Alan Bethke, vice president of marketing for Subaru.

The Willie Nelson song featured in the spot is “I’ve Loved You all Over The World” from the legendary Texas artists album Teatro released in 1998.

The road trip highlights all things Subaru, which is known for its adventure ready vehicles and its love of all things dog. In the spot, the man and his dog do things ranging from getting a shoe to chew to a reunion with the dogs old love.

The Impreza is more than up to making the miles of life count. It received a freshening for 2015 that includes a restyled front bumper, grille, and headlights. It is available in both a four-door and five-door hatchback options that both get an estimated 28 mpg city and 37 mpg highway. The four-door starts at $18,195 and the five-door starts at $18,695.

All Imprezas pack a 2.0-liter Boxer 4-cylinder engine under the hood with 145 lb-ft of torque and 148 horsepower. All models also come standard with Subaru’s signature symmetrical all-wheel drive system that adds to safety and adventure ready ability along with the quick-ratio electric power assisted steering for optimum handling.

There’s plenty of room on the inside for you and your four-legged companion. Built on a 104.1-inch wheelbase, Subaru claims that it has one of the roomiest cabins in its class. The five-door option also offers plenty of cargo room with 22.5 cubic feet with the rear seats up and 52.4 when they’re folded.

The 2015 models are available now and the 2016s will be arriving soon. Until then, keep making the miles count.
