If getting a license to test drive the Ford Super Duty sounds cool to you, then does Ford have a treat for you. It’s out on the road giving you the opportunity to do just that.
The automaker’s 29-city “Future of Tough” truck tour continues through November 13th. Scroll down to check out the upcoming tour stops. You can schedule a test drive at SuperDutyDrive.com. But walk-ins are welcome, too.
Trucks on the tour include fully-loaded F-250s, F-350s, and F-450s. You’ll get a chance to get behind the wheel of the Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum models. You can also test drive both the 6.2-liter V8 gasoline and 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbo diesel engines. The gas engine gets 385-horsepower with 430 pound-feet of torque. The diesel gives you more power – making 440-horsepower with 925 lb-ft of torque.
You won’t be taking these out about town. Instead, the test drives will take place on a special test course Ford developed for the event. Oh, and if you go, you can register for a chance to win an all-new Super Duty, too.
The first Ford Super Duty’s started shipping from Ford’s Kentucky plant earlier in August. It’s the truck’s first complete overhaul in 18 years. It features all-new, class-exclusive features like adaptive steering, adaptive cruise control, and Trailer Reverse Guidance.
The base F-250 XL model starts at $32,535. The ultimate top-of-the line F-450 Platinum model starts at $77,125. There are plenty of trim options to choose from in between those two as well.
