Two Shelby 427 Roadsters Reach $1 Million At Mecum

Some dreamy vintage sports cars made some big bank this weekend at the 2016 Dana Mecum Spring Classic Auction in Indianapolis.

A one-of-a-kind 1967 Shelby 427 Cobra Roadster from the Joe McMurray collection with the original invoice and owner’s manual sold for $1,100,000.  A 1964 Shelby 289 Cobra Roadster, number 271 of 453 street cars delivered with the Hi-Po 289/271 HP V-8, sold for $1,000,000.

Over the weekend 2,000 vehicles will cross the block when all is said and done. Here’s a look at the top sellers from Friday. And yes we want them all.
