It’s time to check in on the Drive Home rally – a road trip featuring a red 1957 Chevrolet Nomad, 1961 Chrysler 300G and 1966 Ford Mustang.
The classic cars are being driven 2,900 miles from Washington State to Detroit, Michigan to help kick off next week’s North American International Auto Show.
We’ve been following their progress since they left from the LeMay America’s Car Museum in Tacoma, Washington on December 27th. A 2014 Charger is serving as the pace car and support vehicle as drivers navigate their way to Motor City.
Tuesday, social media posts placed them in Pontiac, Illinois where they made a pit stop on Route 66 at the Pontiac Oakland Automobile Museum. That’s about an hour and a half south of Chicago. Next up, it’s on to Detroit, the home of America’s automotive icons.
Before that they traveled through St. Louis.
