It’s been a whirlwind few days at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show.
The new refreshed 2016 Toyota Avalon is one of the stars of this year’s show. It comes in a bunch of trims, and has a new look along with updated suspension and technology.
One of Toyota’s product experts fills us in on the details.
The new Avalon’s five trim levels are XLE, XLE Plus, XLE Premium, Limited and Touring. Hybrid customers can choose from three separate grades: XLE Plus to XLE Premium and Limited.
Toyota says it developed two unique suspension systems for the 2016 Avalon. One retuned suspension is supposed to give a more comfortable ride for the XLE through Limited grades. The other, provides a more dynamic and responsive driving experience for the Touring grade.
The refreshed 2016 Avalon also comes with styling, performance and technology enhancements. The sedan features a wider lower front grille with narrow upper grille design, newly-designed turn signals (replacing fog lights) and refined LED taillights. You’ll also find chrome accents on the bumper and inside, new gray accent stitching with light gray interior
XLE and XLE Plus grades include redesigned 17-inch alloy wheels, a 7-inch Entune Audio Plus screen and premium woodgrain on the dash.
