It certainly hasn’t been a great week for Porsches.
This is the second Porsche mishap story we’ve brought to you in just 24 hours. Yesterday, a rare 911 GT3 RS fell into a canal in Amsterdam. Today, a Porsche 911 caught on fire in New York City. This time it was caught on tape.
Video captured and posted to Instagram shows the scene Thursday at the New York Auto Show. An older model Porsche 911 Turbo caught fire due to an electrical problem according to NBC 4 in New York City.
The older model was part of the 2016 DUB Show Tour which kicks off Friday at the show. The Porsche was located in a special events section of the Jacob Javits Convention Center.
Video captured the smoke pouring out of the 911 and billowing into the building. In the video, you can hear workers shouting fire and to get away from the burning car. One person tackled the situation with an extinguisher.
No one was hurt.
