Ford is bringing in the big guns for its latest campaign and we’re pretty sure no one is going to question the automaker’s choice, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The pro-wrestler turned big screen hero and long-time Ford driver is leading the new Ford services campaign as the head spokesman for “The Specialist at Ford” team.
“He is a longtime Ford fan, owning three Ford vehicles – his favorite being F-150. His genuine appreciation of the brand makes the alignment of Ford service and Dwayne Johnson a great partnership,” says a Ford spokesperson.
So what is this special, specialist, team you ask? Well, Ford says it’s a dedicated team with the training, diagnostic tools and Motorcraft parts that make taking your vehicle to your local Ford dealership a no brainer.

Johnson says his black F-150 is “Ford tough all the way. I’ve got a black gorilla that womps and stomps candy asses all over the place – that’s it. It is a badass.”
If you’re interested in getting your own Black Gorilla, the 2015 Ford F-150 is available now and starts at $26,030. It offers the choice of a 2.7-liter V6 EcoBoost, a 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost, a 3.5-liter V6 FFV, and a 5.0-liter V8 FFV engines. It has a towing capacity of up to 8,500 pounds and yes, it comes in black.
The TV campaign begins October 12th, but keep your eyes and ears peeled as The Rock and The Specialist will be keeping it fresh with the multiyear deal that will add TV, digital, social, and radio spots in what the automaker calls “a continuous stream” of new media.
