The countdown is on to the DFW Auto Show. It kicks off next week with opening day on Valentine’s Day, February 14th.
You still have a chance to win tickets by tuning in to the Car Pro Show this weekend. We’ll be giving away 2 pairs of tickets per hour THIS SATURDAY February 10th. Just listen to the Car Pro Show for your cue to call in from 9-11 AM on News/Talk 820 WBAP!
The DFW Auto Show is a great chance for car shoppers to compare styling and pricing of every major line make under one roof.
“As someone who grew up in the automotive industry, I love cars,” said Don Herring, Jr., 2018 DFW Auto Show chairman and Car Pro Certified dealer. “If the annual attendance at our Shows is a proper gauge, consumers in the Metroplex love their cars too, so why not spend Valentine’s Day with your loved one at the Auto Show! Couples can enjoy the Show and then have dinner at one of the many wonderful restaurants in downtown Dallas,” Herring added.
The future will be represented with 2019 models including: Chevrolet Silverado, Ford Ranger, Ford Edge and Mustang Bullitt Specialty Vehicle along with the Jeep Cherokee; and Porsche Cayenne. (The photos below are from the Detroit Auto Show.)
An impressive lineup of all-new or redesigned 2018s also will be spotlighted including: Buick Enclave; Chevrolet Equinox and Traverse; Ford Expedition and F-150; GMC Terrain; Honda Accord and Clarity Plug In; Hyundai Sonata; Infiniti Q50; Jeep Wrangler; Kia Stinger and Rio; Lexus LS 500 and RX 350L; Mercedes-Benz E400 Coupe; MINI Countryman Plug-In Hybrid; Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross CUV and Outlander PHEV; Nissan LEAF; Porsche Panamera; Rolls-Royce Phantom; Subaru Crosstrek; and Volkswagen Atlas and Tiguan.
In addition, The High End area returns with luxury vehicles from Aston Martin, Bentley, Maserati, McLaren and Rolls-Royce, and first-time exhibitor Karma.
Ride and Drive Event
Auto show goers can also navigate the streets of downtown Dallas during the outdoor CBS-11 sponsored Ride & Drive event. More than 75 vehicles from Acura, Chevrolet, FCA (including Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep and RAM), Ford, Honda, Kia, Mazda, Nissan and Toyota will be available for test drives, which are complimentary with admission to the Show.
“There is no other place than Auto Show where consumers can test drive a variety vehicles from 13 manufacturers all in the span of a few hours. This is what makes Ride & Drive event so popular with both manufacturers and auto enthusiasts,” Herring said.
CBS 11 Classic Car Corral
The CBS 11 Classic Car Corral will return this year as well. David Hershey, CBS 11 vice president of Creative Services said they are excited to welcome collectors who are thrilled to show off their classic vehicles. Hershey added that Show visitors can expect to see makes and models from many decades.
In addition, the Aftermarket Area will feature a variety of products and services for the car and home, and the Community Service area in D/E Hall Lobby will spotlight such worthwhile organizations as Straydog, Inc., the Dallas Police Department’s Safelight Program and the Girls Scouts who will sell their cookies.
